The Dawning event for Destiny 2 is back and you know what that means. That's right, it's time to get to baking cookies again. From December 12th through to January 2, 2024, all Destiny 2 players can defeat enemies, extract ingredients, and bake cookies to gift in exchange for rewards.
All players once again have access to the Event Card. This card includes challenges that reward Dawning Spirit. Dawning Spirit can be exchanged to unlock new and reprised rewards. Naturally, you can spend real money to unlock more rewards in the Event Card. These premium rewards include an Exotic Ghost, Legendary emote, transmat effect, and Ghost projection.
One of this year's rewards is the new Legendary Arc Glaive "Albedo Wing." There are also new Dawning armor ornaments, but these are available through the Eververse and come with a real-world currency cost.
If you want to spend even more money, you will be able to purchase the Dawning Beanie from the Bungie Store. You'll only be able to purchase this if you complete the Amateur Baker Event Challenge by 9:59AM (PT) on January 2.
In non-microtransaction news, Bungie is making the built-in Fireteam Finder a permanent feature in Destiny 2. The tool that lets players find groups for most any in-game activity has been in beta for the past couple of weeks now.
