  • GYLT Escapes Stadia with PC Release

This horror-tinged adventure is now available on PC.

GYLT, one of about ten former Google Stadia exclusive titles, is now available on PC and consoles. This "family friendly horror-adventure" title came out today on Steam (soon on GOG), PlayStation, and Xbox for the rather affordable price of $19.99 (USD).

Developed by Tequila Works, GYLT blends together fantasy and reality where your nightmares have become real. Fight, flee, or hide from your enemies while you also work through puzzles, engage in a bit of stealth, and explore a fictional city in Maine.

Out of those handful of Stadia exclusives, many argue that GYLT was one of the best ones, if not the best one. Now players that didn't use Stadia (which would be pretty much everyone) can experience this game as well.

Live the story of Sally, a little girl living in Bethelwood. Her life is not easy, and it has become even worse since her little cousin Emily disappeared. After being chased by a group of bullies, Sally is dragged into a twisted version of her town where her fears and worse memories are presented in a wicked and very real way.

    Main characteristics:
    • Get to understand the world surrounding and discover the mystery behind Emily’s disappearance.
    • Decide to either face the creatures or hide from them, in the same way you’d face or hide your fears.
    • You can avoid being detected by creatures, you can build strategies to distract them, through sound or visual lures or by attracting them.
    • Soundtrack by Cris Velasco.

Started playing this last night. It's pretty good! I like it. I hear it's short though so I'm probably already halfway through after just a couple of hours, but still. Not bad.

    by Shawn Zipay
    40 days and 0 games.

Today marks the 70th day that the Google Stadia was "released" to early adopters and man, what an absolute mess it's been. Even when compared to most other Google launch disasters, the Stadia launch has been exceptionally bad. A post on the r/Stadia by user Gizoogle outlines just how much Google has completely bungled the launch of this new platform.

The Reddit post in question has already surpassed 8,600 upvotes in the Stadia section and...

Google Stadia Launch Games are Lacking
    by Shawn Zipay
Stadia comes out of the gate already limping.

With the soft launch of Google Stadia rapidly approaching, it seems like we're beyond due for a look at the platform's launch lineup. Hell, we're probably beyond due for a look at the Stadia UI and full featureset, but that is another matter entirely.

Today, Google revealed a list of 12 games that will serve as the launch titles for when Stadia has a soft launch on November 19. For $130, you were able to get in on the ground...
