To think my friend in high school said an 80GB drive was more than enough.
Scorpion and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat 1 staring each other down.

Mortal Kombat 1 was announced last week with a big, flashy CG trailer. Since then, the game started to appear on various storefronts, offering potential players a chance to pre-order one of the game's different editions.

One of those storefronts is none other than Steam. As Steam is a PC-focused storefront it stands to reason that some system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 were also shared, and what do you know, they were.

While the minimum and recommended PC hardware requirements aren't exactly too extreme, we do see that there is one exception. That exception is the storage space needed for Mortal Kombat 1.

You will need at least 100GB of free space for Mortal Kombat 1 on PC. As it stands, we do not know if this 100GB is taking into account the space needed for future content updates or if this is for just the base game that will be out on September 19, 2023.

For those curious about all of the hardware you will need for Mortal Kombat 1, you can find the minimum and recommended specs below.
