Nintendo has issued a subpoena to Discord in order to discover the identity of the Discord user that is responsible for a recent leak. The leaked content being some images of an art book for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that appeared online a number of weeks back. The images showed off a few locations, characters, and other content that were not yet made public. The artbook is still unreleased and will only be available to those that purchase the Collector's Edition of the game.

In late February 2023, Discord user named "Julien#2743" posted the images from the unreleased art book. This subpoena issued to Discord would require them to reveal the identity of the leaker. TorrentFreak has the full details on Nintendo's subpoena to Discord along with the timeline of what happened, including a DMCA takedown notice sent one day after the leak and subsequent requests to Discord from Nintendo to deal with others who started to distribute the leaked materials after the initial leak.

A now deleted Reddit post, allegedly made from the initial leaker, says that it was a friend of theirs that sent them the art book images.
