The second season of content for The Cycle: Frontier will begin on September 28. This fairly recently released free-to-play PvPvE shooter has apparently already seen over 2.4 million players check it out. When Season 2 rolls around, those still playing the game will get to enjoy new unlocks throughout Season 2 along with the addition of the new map, Tharis Island.
Season 2 is called "The Depths of Tharis Island" and will add in some new endgame mechanic. They aren't saying what this new mechanic is yet though. They want that to remain a mystery. We do know that it will "further deepen playstyle customization and combat depth." Season 2 will also include new loot, new cosmetics, and a "newly improved Fortuna Pass."
There's also something about aliens and how some alien artifact hidden in the depths of Tharis Island "will change prospecting forever."
