Ah Europe. The land of French wines and cheeses, German beer, farming simulators, Greek architecture, and a little thing called Brexit for the United Kingdom. Where would we be without Europe? I'll tell you where we'd be: The Atlantic Ocean would be a lot bigger, that's for sure.

Besides food, a good drink, and a unified currency, what else is it that Europeans love so much? Oh, that's right: They love to gamble! Those Europeans, famous for their love of gambling in all forms. You name it, they've probably done it. Gambling on a nice Summertime drive with your wife. Gambling on which wine pairs well with various cheeses. But more importantly, Europeans love to gamble in a casino. They even love doing it online from their phones or desktops. Big gamblers, those Europeans. Big.

Germany is full of people that love to gamble. When they gamble, they go hard. While they may go hard, they aren't stupid about it either. When gambling online they like to look for sites and services that offer up a nice casino bonus for their time and effort. They like to make sure they're getting a good deal both on their time investment and monetary one.

Enough about that though, let's take a look at what some of the biggest and most popular games of chance are in the country that gave birth to Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven, while still also falling in love with the music of David Hasselhoff.

3. Blackjack
Who doesn't like to play blackjack? It's an easy game to pick up but a difficult one to master. It's one of those rare gambling games where there is a bit of strategy involved rather than leaving it up to pure, blind luck.

Of course, there is still at least some luck involved here. You can't exactly force certain cards to join your hand. However, knowing when to hit, when to stand, or even when to double is key to victory. You aren't just competing against the cards in your hand, but are also going against the cards in the dealer's hand. Dealers almost always hit for another card if their cards total 16 or less and stand when they are 17 or more. The key is knowing how far to push your luck if you are unable to attain that coveted total of 21.

The best part about playing blackjack online is two-fold. First off, you don't need to worry about interacting with people if you're a little socially awkward. Secondly, you can play in the comfort of your own home without the need to wear pants. And really, isn't that what life is all about?

2. Slot Machines
Slot machines have a variety of names the world over. In Britain, they're known as fruit machines or "fruities." In Australia and New Zealand call them pokies, which is just fantastic. Whatever you call them, one thing is the same: These games are just super fun.

Slots are one of the more "hands on" games out there. You put some money in and pull a lever. The bigger the lever, the better the experience I say. You want a giant lever to really make it seem like you're working hard for those big payouts when you win. When it comes to digital slot machines, while you may not have a giant lever to pull, the thrill of victory is still the same when you see those flashing lights and colorful scenes pop up on your screen.

When playing slots, the idea is to line up matching icons in a row. Sometimes, the more advanced slot machines out there will offer you chances to win in columns and diagonals in addition to the row. More chances to win are always nice.

1. Bingo
Bingo is the top game in Germany? Surprised? I was too! Bingo is immensely popular in Germany just as it is throughout the United States the United Kingdom. Of course, Bingo in one part of the world is not the same as every other part of the world, but the core ideas are largely the same.

Players are given a card, or multiple cards, with the letters B, I, N, G, and O at the top of each column. Each column contains five random numbers. A host, commonly known as the "caller," will pull random selections out of a randomized pool. These selections contain a letter and a number. If a player has that exact letter and number combination on their cards, they place a little mark on it with a special marker or even a little token.

The ultimate goal is to create a line of selected numbers in a row, a column, or a full diagonal. The first person to achieve these shouts out "BINGO!" and will take home the winnings if it is verified their numbers matched the ones called for that round.

There are some variations of the game that can be played. For instance, some games may call for all of the numbers on the board to be covered before declaring Bingo. Others variations, such as horse racing bingo, may find players racing to fill a line of five numbers in a row before their competition.

Digital bingo games are all the rage these days too. Electronic bingo often blurs the lines between traditional bingo games and slot machines, if you can believe it. Electronic bingo is also a lot less messy than traditional bingo because you aren't dealing with bingo daubers, those colorful ink-filled tubes that are used to mark disposable bingo cards.

So, there you have it: The biggest gambling games in Germany and most of Europe include blackjack, slot machines, and bingo. I bet you never saw those three coming at you with this, did you?
