Resident Evil Re:Verse is the multiplayer component that is shipping around the same time as Resident Evil 8, which releases on May 7, 2021. This game pits up to six players against one another in five-minute long rounds of "survival horror revenge matches." This means that once you're killed in the match, you can get your "revenge" by respawning as a bioweapon and going after your murderer.

An open beta for Re:Verse will take place starting on April 21 at 2AM (ET) and will run until April 22 at 2AM (ET). Yep, you have just one day to participate in this open beta.

According to Capcom, the open beta is only for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. There isn't any beta planned at the moment for the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. To participate you will need a Capcom ID and supported hardware. That "supported hardware" at least as far as the PC is concerned can be seen below, as detailed on the game's Steam page.
