It's been about six years since Psychonauts 2 was announced. The game has been delayed a number of times already but it seems as though 2021 is the year. Double Fine took to Twitter today to announce that Psychonauts 2 is for sure happening in 2021 and that the game is currently playable.
Today's announcement comes on the 16th anniversary of the release of the first Psychonauts game. Psychonauts 2 was first expected to be released in 2018, then 2019, then 2020, and finally 2021. So let's just hope that they for sure mean it this time when they say the game is coming this year.
