Cloud Imperium Games, the developers behind Star Citizen, are about to kick off the first ever large-scale dynamic server event. At some point this week, there will be a massive space battle against what they are calling the "XenoThreat." CIG is calling on all pilots to join the fight against this terrorist organization.
Pilots will join up with the UEE Navy and "lead assaults against enemy capital ships."
Players can expect to see large-scale battles featuring AI controlled fleets including the giant capital ships. The "Assault on Stanton" event will feature multiple phases that are scheduled to play out across multiple days.
The Assault on Stanton event is scheduled to begin at some point this week. You will have to follow Star Citizen on Twitter or keep an eye on www.robertsspaceindustries.com for updates on specific start dates and times based on your time zone and region.
If you would rather be surprised and spend a ton of time in Star Citizen already, simply log in and look for an alert from the Civilian Defense Force (CDF). Further instructions will then be provided to you once you answer the call.
