Vertigo Games announced today that there will be a new and enhanced version of Arizona Sunshine coming to the Oculus Quest 2 just in time for the launch of the new VR headset.

This release will be a free update to current existing owners of the zombie survival game. This enhanced version for the Quest 2 will offer up some "uglier" zombies in addition to full ragdoll physics. These are in addition to other improved visual enhancements. Some of these improvements are available as early as today for those on the Original Quest.

There is even a graphical comparison video, seen below, that should show off these improvements clearly.

If you do not yet own Arizona Sunshine, you can pick it up from the Oculus Quest Store for $39.99 (USD).


The visual upgrades for Arizona Sunshine on Oculus Quest 2 include:
  • HD zombies with full physics Even uglier zombies
  • Enriched world: Blood spatter, foliage, birds, destructible glass, and environment zombies
  • Real-time sniper scopes
  • Dynamic lighting and shaders (specular and normal maps)
  • Overall visual enhancement*
*Improvement will also be available to players on Oculus Quest 1.

The free enhancement update for Arizona Sunshine is coming to the Oculus Quest platform on October 13, 2020, and includes all of the game's content released in the Oculus Quest store to date — including all Horde Mode updates. Both story expansions, Dead Man DLC and The Damned DLC, have received a free update as well and all content supports cross-platform multiplayer within the Oculus Quest ecosystem.
