The "Perilous Plunder" update is coming.

An update that is slated to release "later today" for Killing Floor 2 will introduce some pirate themed booty for you to plunder. Everyone loves some good booty to plunder. The update, scheduled for release at some point today will be available for the PlayStation 4, box One, and PC via Steam.

This update will mark the return of Summer for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Though technically Summer for us won't begin until June 20. However, if your weather is anything like mine, you're already experiencing some of those lovely 90+ degree temps this week.

The update includes the usual affair of new cosmetics, a new map, new weapons, and Summer-themed enemies. The new map is a community creation called Desolation. The new weapons included in today's update include the HRG Kaboomstick for the Demonlitionist and the HRG Telauncher for the Berserker.

I'm not seeing any mention of a sale here, but I'm assuming that the game will be on sale somewhere during this event. I've yet to see a Tripwire event that doesn't coincide with a big sale on their game. Just look for it on Steam once the update goes live. It'll probably be on sale there if nowhere else. Hey, it turns out that the game is on sale already on Steam. You can pick it up for 67% off if purchased before June 25. Of course, that's also the rumored starting date for the Steam Summer Sale, so it might just be on sale forever at this rate.
