You hate to see it happen, but this sort of thing is expected in our current day and age. Early in the day on April 21, Kojima Productions announced that they have delayed the launch of the PC version of Death Stranding. Originally slated to release on June 2, Kojima Productions pushed out the game's release by six weeks to July 14, 2020.
The announcement was made through Twitter and the Death Stranding page on Steam. The company has been working from home for a number of weeks now due to, you guessed it, COVID-19. Hey cool, it's that coronavirus thing again. Yeah, I know. As they have been working from home all this time, Kojima Productions just haven't been able to get as much done when compared to actually working at the office together.
Death Stranding was first released on the PlayStation 4 back on November 8, 2019. If you have somehow avoided any and all talk about this game for the past couple of years now, I have included an "about" section for the game below. Also included below are what all pre-purchases will get for the PC release. On July 14, Death Stranding will be released on digital platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store (affiliate link), and other digital storefronts.
The game will retail for $60 (USD) and will include a new Photo Mode along with a little cross-over with Valve's Half-Life. I believe this cross-over content will be available no matter where you buy the game, even if purchased from the Epic Games Store.
