Arin 'Egoraptor' Hanson

Arin Hanson, otherwise known as "Egoraptor" from his online animation days, will deliver the opening "Storytime" keynote for PAX East 2019. PAX East runs from March 28-31 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, MA.

Hanson is a known voice actor, animator, and is the co-host and co-founder of Game Grumps, a popular YouTube channel in which he and Dan Avidan (Ninja Sex Party) play a bunch of games while chatting about pretty much anything that comes to mind. Game Grumps currently has over 5 million subscribers on YouTube. The two have done live shows around the world as either Game Grumps Live events or as part of the comedic video game themed musical group, Starbomb.

Hanson has also had a hand in publishing Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator. He was both an executive producer and was one of the voice actors in the game.

Outside Game Grumps, Hanson has acted in web series such as Bee and PuppyCat, Good Game, and Red vs. Blue. His voice can also be heard in games such as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Minigore. Hanson also produces game parody music as part of the group Starbomb, whose latest album The TryForce releases April 19.

"Having done virtually everything else, it was only a matter of time before Arin opened up a PAX East,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade and PAX. “I can't wait to absorb his profound wisdom.”
The keynote itself will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 10:30AM in the Main Theater. Badges can still be purchased for $57 (per day) for Thursday and Sunday. If you wait until Monday, March 25 to purchase a badge, the price jumps up to $63 for a day.
