Update: Valve has removed all games published by Insel Games from Steam.
It has been recently reported on Reddit that the publisher for this game, Insel Games Ltd., have been attempting to manipulate the user review score for their titles on Steam. We have investigated these claims, and have identified unacceptable behavior involving multiple Steam accounts controlled by the publisher of this game. The publisher appears to have used multiple Steam accounts to post positive reviews for their own games. This is a clear violation of our review policy and something we take very seriously.

For these reasons, we are ending our business relationship with Insel Games Ltd. and removing their games from our store. If you have previously purchased this game, it will remain accessible in your Steam library.

Original: Insel Games is a publisher that is perhaps best known for games like Guardians of Ember or The Onion Knights. Most recently, they can be found as the publisher for the Early Access title Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan - MMO-ARPG on Steam. However, it seems as though the sales for Wild Buster aren't exactly up to snuff, at least if you're the CEO of Insel Games.

A Reddit post on r/Steam contains what looks like a leaked email from the Insel CEO. Someone that has access to this mass email has seemingly leaked an email that looks to put pressure on Insel employees to purchase Wild Buster and provide reviews for it.

The closing of the email certainly seems to push the employees to purchase the game on their own dime (which would presumably be reimbursed later) and then review it. The CEO then goes on to say that those that do not purchase and review the game within 24 hours needs to then explain why they did not want to do this.

It's one thing to suggest or ask employees to review their own product, but it takes on a whole new level the moment you offer up even a single hint of there being an "or else."
