  • United Front Games Supposedly Closed, Smash and Grab No Longer on Sale

    According to a post by NeoGAF moderator bishoptl, United Front Games, may be shut down. The studio allegedly let employees go earlier today.

    It also looks like their latest game, SMASH+GRAB, is no longer available for sale on Steam. The game was available as recently as yesterday and even has an ongoing free weekend. The game was only just released last month on Steam Early Access. This also seems to indicate that we may never see a proper sequel to Sleeping Dogs from the studio.

    The rumor has a bit of weight behind it as more (now former) employees make public statements on social media. United Front Games' Producer, Jen Timms, issued the following remarks.

        Wow, i recently saw Smash and Grab be played for the first time and it looked pretty darn cool, i'm not into moba style games and the connections there put me off of it, but it certainly looked like it had a good future ahead of it... I guess the moba space is pretty crowded, but it's probably external problems that are causing the studio to close.
