• Rumor: Steam Leak Reveals Half Life 3, Final Fantasy X HD, Danganronpa, and Many More Games and Movies

This past week Valve introduced the means to permanently remove any game from your Steam library. They also seemingly provided a loophole to find out the names of the appIDs that were previously unknown within the Steam database.

A SteamDB user, Nephrite, found the means to turn unknown appIDs into known names through a help desk loophole. A while back, Valve hid the names of unannounced and unreleased games, leaving people to merely speculate as to what games were associated with the provided appIDs. However, thanks to this loophole, we now know the names for all of those previously unknown IDs. Of course, this could very well be fixed in the upcoming days by Valve and all future additions will once again be a mystery, but for now, let's just have some fun.

Here are just a few items that were revealed from this:
• Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
• Journey
• Criminal Girls
• Danganronpa
• Danganronpa 2
• Final Fantasy X HD
• Final Fantasy X-2 HD
• Steins;Gate
• Dark Souls III
• Rise of the Tomb Raider
• Bad Rats Show
• Earth Defense Force 4.1
• Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-
• Ray Gigant
• Final Fantasy VI
• Half Life 3
• Films such as the Saw films, Leprechaun, PI, Scream, Chasing Amy, Pulp Fiction, Chasing Amy, and many more.

Yes, that says "Half Life 3" and not "Half-Life 3." Take that information as you will.

The full list of reveals, found at Pastebin, does indeed contain a number of additional games, programs, and films not listed above. I'm talking about over 3,500 items listed. It's important to keep in mind that while the names are generally accurate (they are pulled from Valve after all), it does not mean that all of the listings will actually be released to the public. Similar leaks in the past found that while many of the leaked games were eventually released, a few did not (Halo being a big one).

You can find more information on this leak, along with the means to search the Steam database over at SteamDB.

There's a lot of games there which i'd love PC ports of, but this is most likely just engineers being prepared. A PC version of a good EDF would be sweet.

Don't worry, Valve would never announce "Half Life 3." Now, "Half-Life 3" on the other hand...

I want to believe that they'd have no build up to HL3's release, just drop it on the front page of Steam one day.

Final Fantasy VI has me interested. Especially if two-player coop returns (which is unlikely sadly).
