The list you've all been waiting for has finally been revealed! Yes, Facebook has offered up their short list of 2013 Games of the Year.

So what game took the top spot? It's none other than Criminal Case! You guys know about Criminal Case, right? Sure you do!
This hidden object game from a French indie studio combines crime scene investigation with engaging sharing mechanics to create the most successful Facebook game of the year. As detailed in our case study of the game, Open Graph stories featuring visceral artwork drove organic growth for the game throughout the first half of the year. Content updates and additional cases drove more growth for the game in the second half of the year.

Some of the "Hall of Fame" games on Facebook include Candy Crush Saga and FarmVille 2. Notable newcomers to the 2013 game list include Kitchen Scramble, Bake Shop Drop, The Smurfs & Co.: Spellbound, and many others I've never heard of before!

It's worth noting, however, that there were 10 games from European and Middle Eastern based studios. Eight games are cross-platform and eight games were developed by Indie studios.
