  • Valve Shares Good News About Steam Deck Shipments

Everyone with a current reservation will get their emails before the end of the year.
    Steam Deck

If you have been waiting patiently for the day when your Steam Deck email would show up, Valve has some great news to share with you. The company says that they are going to be able to fulfill demand for the Steam Deck sooner than they had anticipated.

Valve says that they have just updated reservation windows for the Steam Deck. Specifically, "everyone who's currently in the reservation queue will get their Steam Deck email this year." Essentially, once you get your email, you can then pay off the rest of the cost of the Steam Deck and Valve will then ship your device to you. Depending on when you pay, and shipping related issues (holiday congestion, where it's being shipped to in the world, etc.) you may still not receive your actual device until very early in 2023.

Those who were previously in the "Q4 or later" window have been bumped up to "Q3 (July-September)" window. Everyone else that was in the queue for a later date is now "solidly" in the Q4 window, which runs from October-December. To see where your current queue stands, just head over to the Steam Deck page while logged in.

If you want to add a reservation for a Steam Deck, you can obviously still do so. Valve notes that as of this moment in time, new reservations will be in the Q4 window. If that queue fills up though, those reservations will be added to Q1 2023 and so on.

Valve says that the supply chain issues that impacted Steam Deck are gradually clearing up. They are thus able to ramp up production and are "able to produce more Decks faster than ever before."
