Earlier today, Valve announced Dota Plus, a new monthly subscription service for Dota 2 that is "designed to help you get the most out of every match you play." They're also calling it an "evolution of the Battle Pass" that Valve tends to put out for events like The International or the Majors.

The difference now is that the Pro Circuit meant that the Majors Battle Passes are being replaced with this Dota Plus service. It won't rely on a specific start and end date and it's something that Valve promises they will add features and content to over time.

This update also sees the return of the Battle Cup. All persons that purchase memberships to Dota Plus will have free weekly access to the weekend tournaments. Non-members will be able to participate by purchasing tickets at $0.99 (USD).

Dota Plus will go for $3.99 per month. There are discounts given if you sign up for six months or 12 month subscriptions. Gift memberships are also available if you wish to gift one to a friend or ten.
