    'DOTA Underlords' Trademarked by Valve

    It's probably DOTA Auto Chess.

Valve was given a new trademark this week. This trademark is for an upcoming "computer game" called DOTA Underlords. Literally nothing else is known about this title. There is speculation that it may be the name of Valve's standalone release of DOTA Auto Chess, but that's as much of a guess as anything else.

For all we know, it could be a VR title, something to do with Artifact, or something completely unexpected....

Artifact is Out Now from Valve

Valve has released a new game. I hope you were sitting down for that one because that sentence probably knocked you on your ass and tea bagged you.

Valve's Artifact has been released on Steam for $19.99 (USD). It's a card battling game based around Dota 2 characters, locations, and abilities. It was created alongside the famous designer Richard Garfield, so it has a high chance of being pretty damn good.

We have a new trailer to show off with you today. In addition, there is another comic that you can read. This one is called "Call to ...

  • Valve Released an Artifact Comic

    Valve Released an Artifact Comic

Just two days ahead of the release of Artifact, Valve did what Valve does best and released a new comic. It's called "Prelude" and it serves as a prelude to their upcoming card battling game.

A second comic called "Call to Arms" will drop on Wednesday. These comics "sets the stage for a series of events that will transform the world of Dota forever."

So, are they changing the base Dota game as a result? Because if not, that seems like a kind of silly thing to say about Artifact, no? Anyway, go read today's comic, Prelude, at the Artifact...

Valve Updates Dota Plus with Special Summer Update

Back in March, Valve announced and released Dota Plus, a subscription service that they called an "evolution of the Majors Battle Pass." It featured a bunch of perks not available to non-subscribers but things kind of fell quiet for a number of months.

Today, that silence was broken with today's update for Dota 2 that includes a special Summer update for Dota Plus subscribers.

  • Valve Announces Subscription Service Dota Plus "An Evolution of the Majors Battle Pass"

Earlier today, Valve announced Dota Plus, a new monthly subscription service for Dota 2 that is "designed to help you get the most out of every match you play." They're also calling it an "evolution of the Battle Pass" that Valve tends to put out for events like The International or the Majors. The difference now is that the Pro Circuit meant that the Majors Battle Passes are being replaced with this Dota Plus service. It won't rely on a specific start and end date and it's something that Valve promises they will add features and content to over time. ...

  • Dota 2 7.07 "Dueling Fates" Update is Live

Dota 2 7.07 "Dueling Fates" Update is Live

Valve just rolled out the "Dueling Fates" update today for Dota 2, bringing the game up to version 7.07. This update adds in two new heroes: Dark Willow and Pangolier. It also includes a literal metric ton of balance changes, fixes, gameplay mechanic changes, and more.

Valve's special "Dueling Fates" page is about 90% changelog, so you're just going to have to go there to check it out for yourself. Trying to paste it here and have it be formatted somewhat properly would be an absolute nightmare that I just don't have the will to tackle right now. ...

Valve Made a New Game. It's a Dota Card Game. Yeah, I know.

Valve finally made a new game. It's a collectible card battling game based on Dota called Artifact. Actually, it seems as though the full title is Artifact - The Dota Card Game, just in case there was any grey room remaining on it being tied to Dota. They announced it this evening during The International 7 and man that crowd reaction was priceless. There isn't anything known about this game outside of the fact that it's coming in 2018 and Valve has released a teaser for the game. Given that it's a card game and it's tied to Dota, you can almost say with 10...
