Nvidia released a new Game Ready driver for their lineup of PC graphics cards. This new driver, 581.42, includes support for DLSS 4 technology in Battlefield 6 as well as the latest update for FBC: Firebreak.
This update also includes a few fixes for a few titles such as Battlefield 2042, Forza Horizon 4, and Planet Coaster 2. This update also fixes a couple of issues with Adobe products.
Sadly, the open issues mentioned in this new driver update still includes the text distortion issue for Counter-Strike 2.
The Nvidia tech used in Battlefield 6 is the usual DLSS and Reflex tech. Battlefield 6 will not make use of any sort of raytracing.
Battlefield 6 will launch with support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex. Using these technologies, all GeForce RTX gamers can accelerate and enhance their experience, making gameplay smoother and more responsive.
Perhaps most notably, the Breakpoint update for FBC: Firebreak includes the new Crisis called Outbreak. This Crisis takes players to the Research Sector of the Oldest House where the Mold has begun to evolve and spread at a rapid rate.
The new 581.42 driver from Nvidia can either be downloaded through the Nvidia app or through GeForce.com. The well-organized changelog for 581.42, seen below, comes courtesy of Reddit.

Support Plan For Maxwell, Pascal & Volta Architecture GPUs, and Windows 10
After a final Game Ready Driver release in October 2025, GeForce GPUs based on Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta architectures will transition to receiving quarterly security updates for the next three years (through October 2028). Our support lifetime for these GPUs reaches up to 11 years, well beyond industry norms. Also, we’re extending Windows 10 Game Ready Driver support for all GeForce RTX GPUs to October 2026, a year beyond the operating system’s end-of-life, to ensure users continue to receive the latest day-0 optimizations for new games and apps.
