The files for the Battlefield 2042 Alpha are already uploaded and available on PlayStation servers. This is according to findings published by Twisted Voxel just a short time ago today.

According to their findings, the alpha weighs in at roughly 38.5GB in size. This is just the download size and does not necessarily correspond to the size of the game once installed to your system. Speaking of "system," it seems like this alpha is only for the PlayStation 5 as there was no indication of any PlayStation 4 alpha.

The game was uploaded under the codename of LoremIpssum31. However, the files included icons and banners showing that it corresponded with Battlefield 2042.

On the servers, the alpha has a release date of October 1, but this is probably just a placeholder date. After all, October 1st would be a bit late to be holding an alpha test given the game's October 22nd release date. An alpha is supposedly coming soon and will be on an invite-only basis to a limited number of players.

As of right now there is no indication that this alpha test will be available on any platform outside of the PlayStation 5. A beta test is also coming ahead of the game's late October release and will be made widely available to those that pre-order. A date for the beta is not yet known.
