Epic Games just announced a new system for Fortnite players that will allow them to purchase a selection of skins that were previously locked behind older Battle Passes. These skins will appear within the Fortnite Item Shop starting on June 28.
According to the announcement (xcancel link) for Unvaulted, the first set of items will be released as bundles. These bundles will include various Marvel outfits from Chapter 5 Season 4 such as Gwenpool, Captain Jones, Mysterio, Peelverine, and War Machine. Epic specifically says that they are just "starting with" these Marvel outfits but did not yet reveal what other past Battle Pass exclusives will make the jump to the Item Shop.
This is a chance to potentially obtain some very rare skins from the early years of Fortnite. To nobody's surprise, this has made some fans very upset because their "very rare skins" will no longer be "very rare." Players have taken to social media responses to demand refunds for the Battle Passes they bought literally years ago because of this. So that's a thing. That's dumb. They're dumb.
