Embark Studios, the team behind Arc Raiders, shared a first look at the new Riven Tides map coming to the popular extraction shooter. A fresh look was also shared at the new Arc Turbine enemy that will be added along with the new Riven Tides map.
Riven Tides takes players seaside in what seems to be the game's largest update since release. Riven Tides is a map full of beaches, palm trees, the abandoned resort Hotel Panorama Azzurro, and deadly encounters. A new enemy, Arc Turbine, will ensure that your stay isn't a peaceful one. This new enemy type features brutal defensive abilities and will offer a good challenge to any that dare try to engage with it.
The update also adds in a new minor map condition called Beachcombing.
Keep an eye out for the Dockmaster's Detector during a session and sweep it across the sand to uncover buried loot hidden beneath the surface. What you dig up will vary, just keep in mind that the Detector takes up a weapon slot, and the richest hunting grounds are out in the open…
Last Resort is a new event that runs until May 25th.
Running through to May 25, the Last Resort event rewards you with Merits as your XP converts during play on any map. For bonus gains, hunt down miniature Ship Models hidden throughout the world, each one carrying a Merit value based on rarity. Rack up enough Merits to unlock three pages of rewards, including the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, Hose attachment, Brass Faucet charm, new emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens in total.
Finally, there will be new cosmetics added with this update that you can pick up.
The Riven Tides focused update will release on April 28 for all players.
