GSC Game World seems to be confident that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is in a pretty good state these days, because instead of releasing another massive bug fix update they are now releasing all new content for players to enjoy. The first major content drop for Stalker 2 comes in the form of the Stories Untold Content Update, which is a free update for everyone that owns the game.
Stories Untold adds in new locations, new characters, new narrative content, and several gameplay enhancements. Yes, there are still a few fixes included but the bulk of this update is centered around this new content. GSC Game World claims that there is "over five hours" of new content to experience.
This content update introduces an entirely new storyline built around a strange signal disrupting communications near Malachite — one that leaves stalkers with headaches, nosebleeds, and disturbing hallucinations.
The emergency transmission now echoes across the Zone. Unraveling the mystery will take players on a journey that unfolds over hours of tense, gripping quests and into the depths of the Zone, where danger closes in and each choice pulls you deeper down the rabbit hole. With reality warping and threats lurking around each corner, discovering the truth behind the signal — and surviving — depends on instincts alone.

A refined variant of the GP37 was added in this update. The GP37V2 comes pre-equipped with a suppressor, low-magnification scope, and has options for both single fire and burst fire out of the gate.
There is also a new hub that you may get to experience with Stories Untold. Depending on your choices, you may find a new populated hub within the Burnt Forest. All of the necessary specialist NPCs will be there (technician, trader, medic, guide). The hub will also obviously include a personal space where you can rest and stash your excess gear.
GSC Game World also made a few changes elsewhere for you playing on Master difficulty. If you want to play on Master difficult but still have the ability to save anywhere, you need only enable the Expedition Mode option. This option will allow you to quick save with F5 or make regular manual saves via the menu.
Several other fixes were implemented, which can be read about below. Your Stalker 2 mods may not work properly after this update, as is common with all updates. Finally, if you don't yet own the game, you can pick up Stalker 2 for 40% off via the Steam Winter Sale.
