When Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 was officially announced, there was one glaring omission from the list of featured skaters that would be included with the game. Those who played the old games quickly noticed that Bam Margera's name was missing from the roster despite appearing in both of the original releases.
In a recent episode of The Nine Club podcast, it's claimed that Tony Hawk himself had to intervene at the last minute to get Margera added to the game. The skating-focused podcast is co-hosted by Roger Bagley and Chris Roberts. Here is an excerpt (via VGC) detailing how Hawk had to force Activision's hand.
"Well, here's what happened," explained co-host Roger Bagley. "The game was already done. Tony called up Activision and was like 'hey, we're putting Bam in the thing', and they were like 'hey, we can't'.
"He goes 'no, you're gonna do it', and basically made them fly Bam back out there to get body-scanned and everything else, and get him back in the game."
"So this might be news that’s not out there yet, though?" co-host Chris Roberts then asked.
"Probably," Bagley replied.

Margera was also fired from Jackass Forever "due to his drug and alcohol issues." Jackass Forever director, Jeff Tremaine, filed a restraining order against Margera "due to Margera's harassment of both Tremaine and (Johnny) Knoxville via Instagram." A three-year extension for the restraining order was granted after Margera allegedly sent death threats to Tremaine and his family.

I'd be fine if they didn't do the 2nd Underground, the Jackass vibe went too far for me.
