Fifth? Yes, fifth.
The Candy Crush All Stars 2025 tournament kicks off today for its fifth consecutive year, offering up a prize pool of $1 million. Last year, over 15 million people competed for a shot at the prize pool. There's not saying just how many players will try their best to become one of this year's ten finalists.
This year's event begins today, March 20th, and is open to players from all around the world. This global event invites players to "join the action in a thrilling battle of skill, strategy, and sweet triumph." The tournament will last for two months and is free to enter. There are qualifiers, knockout rounds, and second-chance opportunities.
This all culminates in a live final event in Los Angels, where players will compete for the Candy Crush All Stars title.
Apparently, you "compete" in this event by trying to collect as many of the All Stars Candies that you can. The top 5 on the leaderboards will move on to the next round.
Last year, the Candy Crush All Stars tournament saw over 15 million people compete. In total, those players got through over 2.2 billion levels and collected 11.4 trillion All Stars Candies. The 2024 tournament was won by someone this press release refers to only as "Ben." Well, good luck Ben and to all of the Bens of the world entering this tournament.
