Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is getting two additional playable characters as part of a free downloadable content pack. This free DLC is slated for release in April and is the first of "several planned character updates." Secret Base and Maximum Entertainment say that there are an "additional six new fighters" that they plan to add later in 2025.
Double Dragon Gaiden: rise of the Dragons is currently on sale for 60% off for both Steam and Switch. The game is also available on Xbox and PlayStation.
Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a dynamic side-scrolling action brawler that brings the iconic Billy and Jimmy Lee back into action, joined by new allies to combat the criminal underworld of New York City. Players can unleash devastating combos and special moves as they fight their way through the city, with unique playable characters and unlockable upgrades. In a fresh twist on the classic formula, players can select up to two characters to form a tag team for cooperative play.
