Employees at Shift Up, the game studio behind last year's Stellar Blade, all received a rather nice gift from the studio's leadership as part of a New Year's celebration event. The gifts, as shared on the official Stellar Blade Twitter account, include a PlayStation 5 Pro and a monetary bonus of 5 million won (about $3,400 USD) for each employee.
The studio shared a photo of the literal mountain of PlayStation 5 Pro consoles before being distributed to employees. The accompanying video in the tweet shows a few of the employees in line to pick up their new PlayStation 5 Pro console.
As of August 2024, Shift Up employs roughly 300 people.
Stellar Blade released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive title in April 2024. By June 2024, Shift Up announced that the game had sold over one million copies. A PC release of Stellar Blade is expected to come out at some point in 2025 though no definitive date has been set yet.
