Pricing for BlizzCon 2023 tickets. There is a $300 general admission ticket and a pricey $800 Portal Pass ticket.

Blizzard announced today that BlizzCon 2023 is returning to Anaheim, California. This year's event is expected to take place from November 3-4 and will include the usual stuff like the Opening Ceremony, various panels, art contest, cosplay competitions, and more.

The good news here is that BlizzCon 2023 will be live-streamed free of charge! An optional Virtual Ticket will grant those at home some exclusive in-game items, early access to a BlizzCon merch store, and more. The bad news comes if you want to go to the in-person event because these ticket prices are a little on the high side.

This year, the goal is to make BlizzCon® feel more experiential than ever before. It will be a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, bringing attendees into the universes of Warcraft®, Diablo®, and Overwatch® with massive installations, art, and thematic spaces where friends can connect. Whether you’re kicking back in Azeroth, exploring the mysteries of a dark cathedral of Sanctuary, playing alongside the heroes of Overwatch®, or tuning in from home, we want you to feel you are entering universes alongside your friends as you celebrate and experience what we’re building next, and hear from developers all across Blizzard about their vision for our games, their craft, and more.
Tickets for BlizzCon 2023 start at $299 (USD) for General Admission. This includes access to all halls, early access to the BlizzCon Store on Thursday, exclusive in-game items, and an official BlizzCon backpack.

Those looking for something a little extra can opt for the Portal Pass. The Portal Pass can be yours for $799. It includes everything from General Admission plus access to an exclusive Portal Pass lounge, separate registration line, separate security line, and early convention entry on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are expected to be sold on two separate dates: July 8 at 10 AM (PT) and July 22 at 10 AM (PT). They will be sold through AXS.

Today's ticket announcement does make note of a few other key points that would-be attendees should know. For instance, you are not guaranteed entry to the Opening Ceremony. Though this may be amended before the actual event, it seems that even purchasing the $800 Portal Pass does not guarantee entry to the opening ceremony.

Due to limited seating, a random-draw system will be used to distribute tickets in advance for a seat to view the Opening Ceremony in the arena - all ticket holders are opted in as default, additional details to come.
All panels and Community Night will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All events will be streamed on screens found in every hall. These streams will be for those not selected to attend the Opening Ceremony, panels, and other events.

Despite revealing the very expensive $800 Portal Pass today, Blizzard did not include specifics on any of the panels that will take place at BlizzCon 2023. Hopefully they get that information out soon to help justify the ticket prices.
