Several phases are planned for Early Access.

Starship Troopers: Extermination was released into Steam Early Access a couple of weeks back and I have to say, it's a ton of fun already. The team at Offworld Industries doesn't seem keen to stop the fun train any time soon as they just revealed their content roadmap for Early Access.

This roadmap includes at least five distinct phases that will be rolled out in the weeks and months ahead in the Early Access period. We see mention of several new modes coming, persistent player statistics, new playable areas, overhauled class progression systems, and more. Some of the bigger additions look to come in the later phases and includes features such as new weapons, boss bugs, an entirely new planet, a player hub, new Trooper class, a "Galctic War Meta-game," and more.

I'm especially intrigued by that Galactic War Meta-game mention, though no details on what that may be were shared today.
