The date is set on when you can clean up the mean streets of NYC.

On July 27th, Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being worked on by Secret Base and Modus Games.

Today's release date announcement comes alongside a new trailer and a link where you can add the game to your Steam Wishlist.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is said to use "refreshed pixel art visuals" that are "updated-yet-faithful appearances for both returning heroes and villains." This game features unlockable bonuses, adjustable difficult levels, and optional permadeath and infinite modes. The studios involved with this are calling it a "robust revitalization of the series' signature side scrolling action."

The game will ship with local co-op with online co-op coming later this year in an update.
