The fact that the Sony developed MLB The Show 21 is coming to Xbox is already pretty amazing. Of course, we know why this has to be already, but it's still rather weird to think about. One thing you probably didn't see coming is the fact that MLB The Show 21 will be released through Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Microsoft just made the announcement earlier today. So not only will this once PlayStation exclusive game be coming to multiple platforms from Sony's San Diego Studio, but it will hit Microsoft's exclusive Game Pass service right out of the gate. The only catch here is that MLB The Show 21 isn't coming out for PC, so this Game Pass release will be exclusive to the Xbox platform.

MLB The Show 21 is set to be released on April 20 for the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Of course, it will also be out on that day for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, Sony does not have an answer for Game Pass available on their platform.

As we said from the beginning, this is an incredible moment for all of us and bringing the franchise to more players and baseball fans is something that we at MLB, MLB Players, Inc., and Xbox are all excited about. We can’t wait for Xbox fans to experience the fastest, deepest, and most intense moment-to-moment baseball action yet. With pinpoint pitching, brand new fielding mechanics, and gameplay styles, Xbox gamers are in for a treat when MLB The Show 21 launches on April 20.

MLB The Show 21 rockets the franchise onto the next generation of video game consoles with a huge range of improvements, enhancements, and optimizations that make The Show the ultimate Major League Baseball experience. Thousands of new animations, revolutionary innovation on gameplay, and an all-new Stadium Creator let you own The Show like never before.
