Was this game even revealed properly?
    Crysis Remastered

There is some potentially unfortunate news for us to share with you today: Crysis Remastered has been delayed. I know what you're wondering. You're wondering first off if Crysis Remastered was even announced properly. It might have been. It was leaked here and there, with the most recent leak coming from the Microsoft Store this past week. Crysis Remastered was slated to be released on July 23. There were screenshots and a new trailer leaked alongside the store listing.

    It was a whole thing.

The official reveal was apparently supposed to be today. Instead, we were met with news about Crysis Remastered being delayed. The official Crysis Twitter account shared this news just a few hours ago. The tweet is embedded below or quoted even further down if you cannot access Twitter for whatever reason.

If you have not yet seen the leaked trailer, we have included that below as well. Many fans are actually quite upset at what was shown off in the leaked trailer. It appears as though the bare minimum effort was made on this "remaster." From a visual standpoint, it looks near identical to the game's original release. From a technical standpoint, it is assumed that they at least made the game run better on multi-core CPUs. This was a major shortcoming of the original release and a big reason why the original still performs so poorly, comparatively, on modern machines.

The delay for Crysis Remastered is said to be "a few weeks." We will have to see if this is enough time to put some more visual oomph into the game prior to its release.

    Dear Crysis Fans,

As you know, Crysis Remastered will be coming into the world this year - and at the same time the Crysis IP will debut on Nintendo Switch!

Your passion for the Crysis franchise deserves an undeniably high-quality game, and we are committed to delivering just that," Crytek wrote in a statement posted to Twitter this afternoon. "To ensure we meet that commitment, we will need to delay the launch date (all platforms) and trailer premiere by a few weeks.

You might be aware of the leak yesterday, and we want you to know: we've seen all the reactions - the good and the bad - and we're listening! We're still working on a number of things in game as well as the storefront. Please keep the love coming, and rest assure, you'll have the game you love shortly!

This extra time until release will allow us to get Crysis Remastered up to the PC and console-breaking standard you've come to expect from PC games. We hope you understand what we're up to - and that you stay with us while we take the time to make a few more improvements. Stay tuned, and we'll have that game, in your hands as soon as we possibly can.

We'll keep you updated on our progress, so please hang in there, and check back here for updates!

    Thank you.

      Maximum meh.

In 2007 the original Crysis was released for the PC. The big question on everyone's mind at the time, and even through to today, is "can your PC run Crysis?" Usually, the answer was "yes, but…" because even the beefiest of computer hardware had trouble maxing out the graphical options that Crysis brought to the table at the time.

Fast-forward to 2020 and the answer gets a bit more muddled. See, the original Crysis was very dependent...
