Includes a host of gameplay improvements.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

Priced at $19.99 (USD), Nintendo Switch owners can now pick up Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition. Today's release of the classic action title from Capcom includes some nice bonuses over the previous releases of the game. Switch owners should be able to pick the game up digitally right now from the Nintendo eShop.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition adds in a new Free Style Mode. This new mode will allow players to switch between combat styles and weapons on the fly. This should allow the more skilled players to bust out some amazing combos with a fair bit more ease and flair than before. Free Style Mode will allow you to select between all six combat styles featured in the game, though you do only start with four of them. A new radial weapon wheel allows you to quickly select the weapon you desire. If you want to utilize the old weapon cycling system, you can still do so.

The game also allows players to "cut a path through each floor of the 'Bloody Palace' survival mode in local co-op right after creating a save file." There are still 9,999 floors to tackle in the Bloody Palace and you can do so as either Dante or his brother Vergil.

Naturally, the understood benefit of Devil May Cry 3 on the Switch is the fact that this is the first time you can play the game on the go.

About Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition for Nintendo Switch
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition serves as a prequel for the iconic action series, unfolding years before the original Devil May Cry. This origin story explores the journey leading up to and culminating in Dante’s face-off against his twin brother, Vergil. Dante must use his trademark sword Rebellion and dual pistols Ebony and Ivory to stop Vergil from unlocking a gate to the demonic realm and infesting the world with demons. Along the way, players will gain insight into many aspects of the series, from the first encounter with fan-favorite Lady, as well as the beginnings of Dante’s titular shop.
