No, you did not travel back in time to June 2019. Techland has only now decided to publicly release their roughly 26-minute long gameplay video for Dying Light 2. This video was initially only shown off to media that were at E3 2019. It was later shown to those that were in attendance at Gamescom this past week.
This lengthy gameplay video shows off a look at the combat featured in the game. You will also get a look at the evolving infected alongside the "next iteration of the day/night cycle." One of the biggest showcases in the video is how the world changes based on the player's choices.
