• WBIE Offering Full Refunds on Batman: Arkham Knight PC Until the End of the Year

Batman: Arkham Knight is still a near complete mess for many PC players. Even after months of being pulled so that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady could fix the initial launch woes, the past week's re-release seems to be as bad, if not worse, than it was before. As such, WBIE has issued a statement saying that those who purchased the game on PC can get a full refund on the game up through the end of the year.
We are very sorry that many our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues.

Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix.

    Thank you,

    Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment

Valve also notes that you should be able to refund the game regardless of time played. They say that there are currently some issues with the refund policy but they are working to fix it and ask everyone to wait a bit before submitting a refund request.

This is one Reddit user's performance after the latest re-release of the game.

      Uh oh...

Sigh, tsk tsk Iron Galaxy Studios... Why do you wish to burn the bridges between you and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and Rocksteady Studios? You goofed up on Arkham Origins, and now you repeated your mistakes in Arkham Knight? All your other ports in various games went well! Why is Batman something you can't handle?

Geez, even DICE redeemed themselves with BF4, although I don't really know what the other studios' involvement were (BioWare, Visceral Games, DICE LA).

I feel for Iron Galaxy, this game had technical difficulties at various press showings before it came out and i assume that was the console build, it wasn't too much time before the game was out and it seems Warner knew the condition of the game when they decided just to ship it. This is a guess from me because i really don't know, but when a triple A game ships i'm assuming the development team behind it is splintered off into the studios next projects, with a smaller team left to work on post release support, so when Warner gave the game the boot it was a smaller team of people left to deal with the aftermath. Then Warner pulled the PC version and in their usual soulless corporate speak launched their fixing campaign, "We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards." What their quality standards are for PC versions is up to you to decide, because we don't know if the small support teams were beefed up while the game was off the market, or if Warner just gave them a time frame and left them to it, maybe the task is so enormous they didn't stand a chance.

I say the words "assume" "maybe" "guess" and "don't know" a few times in this comment, because Warner handle the majority of announcements themselves, we haven't heard from anyone close to the game i don't think so i have no idea who is involved or what its development looks like, just statements from Warner.

I will admit, their ports of other games went well. Not really understanding why Batman is the exception, and I'm including Origins here. What I will assume is that WB and Rocksteady won't be working with Iron Galaxy after this.
