  • Hitman: Agent 47 Movie Trailer Takes the 'Silent' Out of Silent Assassin

There's a new Hitman movie coming. Surprised? I am. I was even more surprised when I saw the trailer for it today and not the good kind of surprised either.

HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research—and forty-six earlier Agent clones—endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

There is literally a mechanic in the games that rewards you for being a SILENT assassin! And they go and make films that look like something a kid in a film class in high school would think up.

What do you think? Will this be better or somehow worse than the 14% the first Hitman film sits at over at Rotten Tomatoes? It's looking like it's going to be a close race.

What I'm really trying to say here is that this looks terrible. The acting seems terrible. The idea behind the games is completely lost. It's all just... ew.

Before i say anything i'd like to state that i have a very specific taste in films... ok.

I liked the first film, it's corny in a few ways but overall it's a pretty decent movie. They've definately upped the slow mo for this new film which i've seen people complain about, but it's not an effect i've ever gotten tired of, the actor playing 47 seems good, a straight faced near emotionless protagonist is good for unexpected humor and badass moments.

If the trailer shows all the action scenes, there could still be plenty of room in between for the stealthier aspects, even the first film had some decent assassin moments.

Honestly I have yet to see a decent video game to film adaptation. I heard of Bioshock and Assassins Creed adaptations but honestly given the history of games to films meh

Yeah, it could have been awesome if they put the silent back.

Its all about the slopsions! If there is more silence and putting on disguises as well as using your brains, I hope the Agent kills the lady
