Battlefield Studios just announced some big changes to progression unlocks and XP gains in Battlefield 6. In response to player feedback, Battlefield Studios is increasing XP gains and making it easier to unlock new gadgets and weapon attachments.
To begin with, XP gains are being increased by 10% for a completed match, with an XP increase of 40% coming for the daily bonus.
Furthermore, they are also reducing the amount of XP needed to unlock the first 20 attachments for weapons. They say that this should result in players earning attachments "almost twice as fast." Battlefield Studios does note that there may be some abnormalities shown on the UI briefly. They say that the issue should resolve itself after you play a match while using the weapon with the UI issue.
They are also changing when class assignments open for players. Assignments that previously began at career ranks 20, 23, and 26 will now begin at ranks 10, 15, and 20 respectively. However, the requirements needed for these assignments have not yet changed. Battlefield Studios say that they are "aware of the frustrations regarding the challenges themselves and are actively working on reviewing them." However, "it will take more time to develop, test, and implement these changes."
The bad news is that Battlefield Studios will start to crackdown on the community created XP farms.
Over the past week, many of you noticed that we reached maximum capacity on community servers. After reviewing the data, we found that a large number of these servers were created primarily to earn XP, inflate player stats, and earn special accolades through defeating bots. We completely understand the motivation behind this, like faster progression and a way to test setups without pressure, but it’s led to some unintended side effects. With so many servers focused on farming XP rather than active play, it’s become noticeably harder for players to create and find experiences to play with other people.(...)
Our goal moving forward here is to reinforce the player-driven experiences that bring people together, while still keeping room for custom setups, creativity, and new ideas.
We are developing adjustments that are intended to diminish the number of XP farms taking up server space while further emphasizing playing with friends on both custom and verified experiences.

The updates mentioned here are expected to go live "within the next week." They actually hope to get these updates out sooner, but this really depends on how quickly the testing and verification steps go.
Furthermore, they also say that they have "seen your concerns on other areas of the game, including visibility, weapon bloom, vehicles not spawning, and more." More details on updates for these issues will be shared when they have information to share about them.
