True eldritch horrors.
An official Wizards of the Coast pack of Baldur's Gate 3 Dungeons & Dragons mini figures came out and OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT?!
These minis include vague approximations of the characters of Astarian, Karlach, Gale, Shadowheart, Wyll, Lae'zel, and Withers. If I didn't tell you that these were official, you would probably think that these were just some weird joke project released by some guy on TikTok.
Not only are they official but they're also retailing for $50.
The minis were created by WizKids. These have everything from extremely poor paint work to poor base models. Just take a look at the bends in some of those weapons!
Some of the photos here come from GamesRadar+ who shared their own botched minis with the world, but they aren't a one-off. Others across social media also reported similar issues with their own figures once they arrived. This includes Elodie Ceselli, a senior cinematic artist that actually worked on Baldur's Gate 3. There is even one user that claims their set arrived with a headless Shadowheart.
These minis are still available for sale. Maybe they'd make for a good collector's item or something. Just be sure to store them in a place where no human eyes will ever accidentally be able to view them.
