The Gex Trilogy will hit PC and consoles on June 16, 2025. Pre-orders will open on May 9th for three different physical editions of Gex Trilogy, including for the $199.99 mega giga collector's edition.
Both the digital and physical release of the game is being handled by Limited Run Games, which has found itself in the midst of a bit of controversy. Pre-orders on the physical editions open May 9 and run until July 6, 2025 "with shipping expected later this year."
The Standard Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, Switch, and PC is $39.99. It includes a game disc/cartridge, game case, cover, booklet, and Steam key (PC only). The $74.99 Classic Edition adds on a Steelbook, 12"x16" double-sided poster, a soundtrack with a selection of music from the games, and a retro-style box.
Then there is the Tail Time Edition for $199.99. It includes everything from the Classic Edition (except select songs soundtrack) and adds in: 36" inflatable Gex doll, 7" Gex statue, Gex trading cards, remote pin, full soundtrack CD, and a collector's box with artwork by Yoshitaka Amano.
The games themselves feature a few improvements over the original releases. The second and third Gex titles support 16:9 widescreen and now have full 360 degree analogue control. Also added to the games is a Rewind feature and the ability to save the game anywhere across all three titles.
