Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive, and Games Workshop have officially announced Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3.
The announcement "trailer" is 15 seconds of mostly static image. If you were to assume that development was in the earliest possible stages for Space Marine 3, you'd probably be correct. In fact, the studios flat out say that "development (...) has officially begun" on Space Marine 3.
This means that it will be a good, long while before we get any new information or visuals for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. We're talking about actual years before we see anything else on Space Marine 3. The studios also note that "for now" the focus "remains on delivering the best possible content for Space Marine 3 players."
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was a standout title that dropped in September 2024. It featured an engaging campaign that could be played with two additional co-op partners. There was also a very fun dedicated co-op mode with several missions that ran alongside the main campaign storyline. Space Marine 2 resonated well with both critics and players alike, having reached over 5 million players as of November 28, 2024.
