Some good and some mediocre arrivals headline the new additions.
A list of video game titles that are coming to the Xbox Game Pass service up through January 16, 2024.

Microsoft just revealed the new titles that are being added to Game Pass in early January 2024. The list offered up on the Xbox Wire extends only until January 16th, which seems to suggest another batch of games for the second half of January will be revealed at a later date.

Starting today, the horror-adventure game about Nikola Tesla, Close to the Sun, is available starting January 3, 2024. That is otherwise known as "today" for those reading this on the day this was posted. Close to the Sun was reviewed on Total Gaming Network back in 2019, so check that out if you're so inclined.

Tomorrow, Game Pass subscribers will gain access to Hell Let Lose, a multiplayer focused first-person shooter that features big battles of up to 100 players. The full list of game releases up through January 16 can be found below.
  • Close to the Sun | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 3
  • Hell Let Loose | Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S - January 4
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 9
  • Figment | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 9
  • Super Mega Baseball 4 | Cloud, Console, and PC via EA Play - January 11
  • We Happy Few | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 11
  • Resident Evil 2 | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 16
  • Those Who Remain | Cloud, Console, and PC - January 16
Of the upcoming additions, a review is also available for We Happy Few. Though I'd like to believe that a lot of that game's issues have been patched up since its initial release in 2018.

There are some games that are leaving Game Pass early this month. On January 5th, Grand Theft Auto 5 is saying goodbye to Game Pass. On January 15th, four more titles will be leaving the service: Garden Story, MotoGP 22, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable.
