Those who are still subscribed to Netflix will have a couple of mustached plumbers to look forward to this December. Netflix announced today that the Super Mario Bros. Movie is coming to the streaming service next month.

The announcement was made via Twitter. The brief announcement states that the Super Mario Bros. Movie will arrive on December 3rd. The film was originally released in theaters on April 5, 2023 and made its home streaming debut in August on Peacock.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie showing up on Netflix shouldn't be too big of a surprise. Netflix and Universal had agreed to a deal back in 2021 that would see films from Illumination and Dreamworks Animation hit Peacock first and then arrive on Netflix four months later.

The Mario film pulled in over $1.36 billion (USD) at the global box office. It currently sits as the second-highest grossing film of 2023, trailing behind Barbie.
