The game's first expansion may have been discovered by dataminers.
Thanks to the efforts of dataminers, we may have the first evidence of what could be the first expansion name for Diablo 4. The name "Lord of Hatred" was discovered by dataminers, with a hint that the expansion will focus on Mephisto.
Metphisto is the Lord of Hatred and was one of the main characters you come across during the base game of Diablo 4. Mephisto was not an antagonist during the course of Diablo 4's story, opting instead to aid the player in their journey, in a way.
According to a report by wccftech and YbuBaka on Youtube, Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred will see the return of the Kurast region. There will be new questlines, new gear, and new late game activities. There are also some references discovered for a new class called Spiritborn, plus a new Mercenary system that hints hired NPC companions will be able to fight alongside you.
With BlizzCon 2023 kicking off on November 3rd, it's entirely possible an official reveal will take place. Until such a reveal is made, be sure to take all of this with a grain of salt. Though the information was datamined, it's possible for plans and content to change.
Diablo 4 is currently in its second season of content, Season of Blood, and is also now available on Steam.

Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is ready to release on April 28, 2026. Ahead of that date, Blizzard had a lot to share for this expansion including the debut of the game's opening cinematic, a new developer deep dive stream, the availability of the pre-download, a new original song by KoRn for this expansion, and a partnership with a guitar company. In addition, I'll also share a review roundup for Lord of Hatred.

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred feels like a fresh beginning for the action-RPG that released a little over a year ago. Despite receiving generally high praise from media outlets, including my own review, fans were quite vocal about the game needing some broad, sweeping changes to several core gameplay systems. Blizzard responded to these complaints by releasing a series of updates that drastically improved and reiterated on several core gameplay mechanics. ...-
