Geoff Keighley has confirmed at least one of the major reveals that will take place during The Game Awards on Thursday. We already knew that all of Thursday's reveals wouldn't be focused on games, which is a fact that led many to speculate as to what the other reveals might be. The prevailing thoughts focused on a trailer for the upcoming The Last of Us HBO series, which is still a real possibility.

What I didn't see mentioned nearly as much was a full trailer for the Halo TV series. However, a full trailer for the Halo TV series is exactly what we're going to get. Keighley confirmed this reveal during a short teaser posted to Twitter on December 7.

The Halo series is expected to debut on Paramount Plus in 2022. Pablo Schreiber will portray Master Chief, Danny Sapani is Jacob Keyes, Olive Gray will be Miranda Keyes, and Jen Taylor will voice the holographic AI companion Cortana. The show will tell an original story set in the Halo universe but will still remain faithful to the established lore.

The Game Awards will air on Thursday, December 9 at 7:30 PM (ET). The campaign for Halo Infinite will be released on Wednesday, December 8 for Xbox and PC.
