Dandridge will once again play the role of Marlene.

Merle Dandridge is probably a name most of you reading this are familiar with. She was the voice of Alyx Vance in Half-Life 2 and the subsequent Episodes that came out. She was also the voice of Marlene from The Last of Us. Well, as it turns out, Dandridge is returning to The Last of Us, only this time it will be for the HBO series based off of the games.

Dandridge will once again reprise her role as Marlene, leader of the Fireflies. The Fireflies are a resistance group fighting back against military oppression in several quarantine zones. They are searching for a vaccine that will help humanity survive against the cordyceps brain infection plaguing humanity. That's all I'll say about her character given that divulging any more would be a major spoiler for the game and potentially the HBO series.

Merle Dandridge will join Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
