  • Warface Enters Paid Early Access on PS4 Today, F2P Release Arrives September 18

    Warface
The modern military FPS, Warface, just entered into an Early Access phase on the PlayStation 4 today. This is in preparation for the full free-to-play release on September 18. It's important to note here that if you want to join in on the Early Access phase, you will need to pony up some cash. Only the full release next month will be F2P.
Players can jump straight into action with the games’ impressive arsenal of competitive game modes or join with up to four friends to take down the tactically advanced forces of AI controlled Blackwood faction. Success depends on teamwork and selecting the right mix of soldier classes, each with unique loadouts and special abilities. Choose to play as the Rifleman, Sniper, Medic or Engineer and equip accurately detailed weapons to operate in explosive action taking place around the globe.

Apparently, there are five different paid packs that will grant you access to the Early Access release. Four of those packs are specific to each class. The fifth pack is the "Collector's Edition" of the game and combines the other four packages into one plus provides additional weapons and bonuses.

There is also a new trailer out today that focuses on the game's PvP side. Warface is developed by Crytek and published by My.com. It is currently available on PC, including through Steam.
