  • Halo 3: ODST and Remnant Released for Halo: The Master Chief Collection

At long last, 343 Industries has released Halo 3: ODST for all owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. If you ordered MCC early enough, then ODST is free for you to download! If you got it a bit later, then ODST will be available for purchase for just $4.99 (USD).

In addition to this, the Remnant multiplayer map was released today for Halo 2: Anniversary.
“Remnant” Multiplayer Map Comes to Halo 2: Anniversary
A secluded island, hidden along the coastal regions of Delta Halo, “Remnant” features a towering and iconic Forerunner megalith, weathered over untold millennia. The map’s asymmetric layout and the artifact’s elevated, yet embedded, position, make it perfect for classic Slayer, Assault, and 1-Flag CTF game types. Of course, this re-imagined version of the classic map sports its share of innovations.

For a deeper look at “Remnant” and all the multiplayer maps in Halo 2: Anniversary, be sure to check out the “Breaking Down the Map” series or on The Halo Channel on Windows 8.1 and Xbox One. Hosted by 343 Industries’ Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky, “Breaking Down the Map” offers an intimate look at multiplayer maps in Halo 2: Anniversary, highlighting key power weapon spawns, strategic map positions and much more.

Halo 3: ODST Campaign Enhanced for a New Generation
The Halo 3: ODST campaign for Halo: The Master Chief Collection comes to the Xbox One looking better than ever. Running at 1080p/60fps, experience the events leading up to Halo 3 through the eyes of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) as they search for clues leading to the whereabouts of their scattered squad and the motivations behind the Covenant's invasion of New Mombasa. Please note that your digital or physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and today’s content update are required to play the (digital only) Halo 3: ODST campaign.

Oh man, I had some good times on ODST firefight. Always got a group of the same 4 guys and could go through waves for daysss! The campaign was fun to run through too, but too bad it is just the campaign.. Either way I thought it was a good addition to the Halo franchise, for a good change of perspective. They should do a MC collection for PC, hehe :P

      From Waypoint FAQ:
"Does the Campaign of Halo 3: ODST for Halo: The Master Chief Collection include the full game (including Firefight)?

Our focus is enhancing the Campaign for Halo 3: ODST, including it within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and ensuring it delivers a great experience on Xbox One in 1080p and 60fps. It does not include the Firefight game mode and contains the Campaign only."
