The official PlayStation Twitter account just sent out a message that they will soon release the 2.01 firmware update for the PlayStation 4. This update's apparent sole purpose is to address a severe bug that prevented many users from being able to turn on their systems if Rest Mode was used.
The bug, introduced in the 2.0 firmware update made it so that some systems refused to turn on properly if they were left in Rest Mode. This issue was random and with no reliable user fix found. In addition, some companies have claimed that the 2.0 firmware update resulted in some unsavory issues with their games, including the Evolve Big Alpha and another upcoming and unreleased title.
